I have been meaning to post the pictures below for a while but spaced out... again and again.
First I have to say that I do not have kids because you are going to want to know how long it took me to do it. I am a major pen freak, MAJOR. One night I decided to try out my gel pens on the top of my black lap top. Before that I had used gel pens to decorate my cell phone, my remote control and my house phone. I don't think it's considered tagging but I guess if I was twelve and doing it to school property I would be a 'tagger'. Anyway...
As it turns out the gel pens work quite beautifully and my laptop now has a very unique style. I love showing it off. When Kelly had her "Pen Class" at the store a few weeks ago I was able to share this minor obsession with other pen lovers like myself.

I used: Sakura Glaze and Souffle matte in both assorted colors. And it took me a few hours. I worked on it a few days in the evening.

So please enjoy and please share your thoughts.

Oh ya, don't laugh because I don't have a MAC.
I'm still cool and hip like all my mac friends' which means everyone I know.

Patricia, Ann, Chris, Terri, Christy, and Renee- thanks so much for coming out to play and for making it such an enjoyable day- I hope to see you soon!

Cell Phone Etiquette... question

Just a quick question...
What do you think about people who talk on cell phones and have ongoing some times personal conversations while shopping at a small store? What do you think the store staff should do when this happens?

To clarify, this is not about Zinnia. A friend of mine was accosted at a local store by a store employee when her phone rang while shopping. I just want to know what our Zinnia friends think about this issue.

When I got to the store on Friday I was informed by Tamara that the credit card machine was not working and getting a replacement wasn't going to happen before the weekend. If I have to say so myself I am kind of a hands-on kind of girl. The last time the stupid machine acted up we tried everything ten times and nothing worked. Then we decided to unplug and plug the machine and see what happen... and wahla it worked. So this time I asked Tamara the usual questions and of course had she unplugged it. I WAS not going to be able to hand write all the transactions for the weekend. So I decided to take the thing apart and see if there was something I could fiddle with. I unscrewed the back cover and I guess the fresh air on the normally covered wiring did the trick because... walah it worked. 20 minutes and it was working. I had to share this because I was feeling pretty proud of my Macgyver skills.

This weekend Zinnia hosted Julie Molina and Tally Oliveau the authored the book, Mixed Media Dollhouses. To our delight they brought some of the houses that are featured in their book and if you've seen the the book the real artwork up close like that is spectacular. I honestly couldn't decide which was my favorite. I was also able to get both authors to autograph my copy of the book.

These are a few pictures from the event.
