Call To Artist

Hi Friends,

Tamara's MAC died just before Christmas and she had to purchase a new computer. (Oh darn) Unfortunately her new mac does not support iWeb. This is too bad because our Zinnia website was built on iWeb and she was informed that they are not moving forward with it and she is unable to add or make any changes. Thankfully, a new website has been in the works for some time now and we expect it to be up and available for all by the end of the month.
This change effected us all because news/updates about the goings on at Zinnia can not be posted on the website. If you are on the email you will receive updates via emails. I will post updates here too.

So what are you missing? A call to artist has been sent out to all. Our next art exhibit will be on Saturday, February 11th. 'Petite Valentin' (it's French not misspelled, I think) We are asking that anyone interested submit Valentine artwork. Zinnia offers all artists the opportunity to get their work into our store/gallery.

ARTWORK SUBMISSION Guidelines:

1.Please bring original Valentines to Zinnia no later than by Tuesday January 31st 2012.

2. All artwork must be identified with: Artist’s name, address, e-mail, phone number, title and price the artist would like the painting to be sold for, Zinnia will take a 40% commission from that amount. Sufficient return postage must be included for every submission that needs to be returned by mail.

3. Size: This is a miniature exhibition. Artwork must be smaller that 5" x 5" and ready to hang (all pieces have to hang on a wall). All mediums are acceptable. Any artwork submitted that is larger than 5" x 5" will not be accepted for the exhibit.

4. Participants can enter up to 10 pieces. Each will be chosen based on the appropriateness of their work for this event by a panel of representatives from Zinnia. We’d like to think these would be a great gift for a loved on Valentines Day.

5. Participants will be notified of acceptance by phone call or email by Sunday February 5th at 4:00pm.

6.There will be an opening for this exhibition on Saturday February 11th at 6:00. A PDF will be provided for any artist who wishes to print invitations for the opening. This event will be coinciding with the South Pasadena Art Crawl; links to this event will be available.
