Shout Out to Tyn!
Tyn,
Thanks for the time you take to post pics and share your thoughts. The stencil "Let's get high on spray paint" party was cool. No wonder my stuff started to look like a Pink Floyd album cover. You Rock!

Don't you ever wonder...
Don't you ever wonder what your favorite Zinnia staff members do in their free time? This last weekend, Tamara, Paul, Joe, Suki and I as well as a few other crafty folks got together, and did this!!! If you want to see more go here.

That Joe...
That Joe...I am saying that all the time. I say it when I see whatever new thing he is creating. He blows me away constantly. But I like to think he is just keeping me on my toes!!
Anyway, Joe has a terrific class coming up on Tuesday Aug. 21st- Assemblage from 12:00 - 3:00
Also, coming up is a class with Tammie Moore called Flying Portraits . It is scheduled for Friday Aug. 24th from 11:00-2:00. I have not yet had the pleasure of taking one of Tammie's classes, but I keep hearing great things about them. I have been checking into her great blog, and wondering when this lady sleeps! I say stop in and check it out!!
OOPS!! I just found out that Flying Portraits is with Tamara!! Sorry Tam!
If you want to join in one of these classes, call the store and save a space- and remember, if there are not sign ups 24 hours prior to class, it gets canceled- where is the fun in that?!?

Upcoming classes- with Paul Murray
Paul has two classes coming up. Both classes have been very popular in the past, and we are glad to be offering them again. If you haven't had the chance to take a class with Paul, maybe one of these will strike your fancy. If you like to be creative, learn new things, laugh a lot, and share that with others- then give the store a call and sign up. Sadly, if there are not enough sign ups 24 hours prior to the class, we have to cancel. Hope we see you there!!

A great big shout out ...
Do you know Shari Enge? Well you will be hearing lots about her. Shari is the creator of Old Soul dolls which you might have seen around Zinnia from time to time. Well, the big news is that in this months issue of Craft Magazine, there is an article about Shari and the amazing dolls she creates. Keep your eye on this girl!!

Welcome to Zinnia
Zinnia as a store front has been open now for 3 years. The store has defined itself over time, and it is a place for creative folks to gather, find supplies, get inspiration, take classes and most of all PLAY!! As things move forward, it seemed time to open up about us and the store on line for those who might be further away than Los Angeles. Art has no borders! We invite you to read, and comment and share yourself here too. Perhaps by being here, we will make some new friends and share some new things, and learn new things too. Remember - if you are ever in the neighborhood, please stop in and say "hi", but until then, "hi" from all of us here at Zinnia.
