Okay... ya ya. Where the heck did I go with my fascinating stories about my adventures at Zinnia? Here's the story. The last time I checked in I had misplaced my camera. Well, it's officially lost and gone. :( So I had to go out and find a new one which led to endless hours of researching and more researching. I finally broke down and bought myself a jewel of a camera. I was so excited that I decided to go on holiday to South Africa where I took a ridiculous amount of pictures. I wanted to see if the camera was really all it promised it would be. And it did and does. Yeah for me.
So let me catch you up. After the Tangled and Tattered show things were rather calm and quiet at the store. The artwork was beautiful and unique. I hope you had a chance to stop by.
Michael de Mang was in town and taught three classes at the end of May. I was not able to take the classes because Tamara made me work while She, Paul and Joey took the classes. Ha ha. Tamara just said, WHAAAAT? I was an observer and admirer and have to tell you there were treasures created. If had had a camera and not in South Africa I would insert pictures here.
We have a few cool events planned for the summer and a big one in October. We are planning a few Open Houses during the summer. We had a Necklace Open House tonight. We are exhibiting "Necklaces" for about a month. There will be another in July and one in August
Zinnia will be taking part in the 350 Project with an art show on October 24th. The project is a world wide event and promises to be quite spectacular. I cut and pasted the following from the official website. Please check it out. www.350.org
I will post more information about this later this week. We are once again calling on our artists friends to participate.
Dear World,
This is an invitation to help build a movement--to take one day and use it to stop the climate crisis.
On October 24, we will stand together as one planet and call for a fair global climate treaty. United by a common call to action, we'll make it clear: the world needs an international plan that meets the latest science and gets us back to safety.
This movement has just begun, and it needs your help.
Here's the plan: we're asking you, and people in every country on earth, to organize an action in their community on October 24.
There are no limits here--imagine bike rides, rallies, concerts, hikes, festivals, tree-plantings, protests, and more. Imagine your action linking up with thousands of others around the globe. Imagine the world waking up
Check back later this week for the details of the event. We will also have information on the website too.
Live in Color!
Suki
